Autopsy Ordered for Rochester Man Found in Garage By His 6-Year-Old Child
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Police Department has ordered an autopsy for the man found bleeding and unresponsive in a northwest Rochester garage over the weekend.
Police Captain Casey Moilanen said officers were dispatched to the residence shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday. He said the man’s six-year-old child found him. The child then called their mother who then contacted police.
Upon arriving at the home in the 3000 block of 17th Ave. Northwest officers reported seeing blood coming from the 43-year-old man. He was described as unresponsive but still breathing when police arrived, Moilanen said.
The man was taken from the home by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital where he passed away. Moilanen said the man’s cause of death will be determined by the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, however evidence at the scene indicated the man may have fallen and hit his head.
At this point, foul play is not suspected, Moilanen said. The man's name has not been released.
